David is a Methodist minister living in Belfast, and these poems were written over a number of years. Many are profound and personal reflections (or reflective doodles as he would say) on scripture. Some were published in his blog ‘Virtual Methodist’ and many have been performed at various events such as New Irish Arts and Sacred in the City. He is currently the superintendent of the Belfast Central Mission, which, as well as providing normal congregational worship, is involved in a wide range of social care projects in the local community and throughout Northern Ireland.
